Thursday Night Bible Study
Join us
Each Thursday at 6:30 pm
We warmly invite you to join us! Our Thursday night Bible study is a welcoming community where individuals from all walks of life come together to explore the depths of Scripture and deepen their faith. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have been walking with Christ for many years, we offer a space for thoughtful reflection, meaningful conversation, and mutual encouragement. Come be a part of this enriching experience as we seek to grow in wisdom and understanding, guided by God’s Word. We look forward to welcoming you into our fellowship.
Our current topic is "Mountains of Faith". We will begin a new set of lessons on September 25th which will be a three-part non-sequential series on the Book of Psalms. Part I will be led by Bob Reeder and will introduce the Psalms, their origin, purpose, and use by the Israelites in worship together along with some background material concerning the literary style and chief characteristics of the poems before moving into a study of some selected Psalms starting with Psalms 1 and 2, the “Introductory Psalms.” There will be an opportunity for class members to suggest particular Psalms for a closer look by the class. Part I will take the class past Thanksgiving and into early December. At the start of the New Year, there will be a pause in the Psalm series for a two-month class led by Dave Schütter on the Book of Revelation. Starting around the first Thursday in March, the Psalm series will pick up again and will be led by Ken Peeders on the Psalms of Ascent (120-134). Our series will conclude with an additional study of certain Psalms led by Mike Novak, which is likely to take the class through Memorial Day. More detailed information regarding Ken and Mike’s parts will be announced later. Join us as we collectively journey into the Psalms which, as has been said, “speak the universal language of the human soul” and join with the psalmists and millions of Christians who over the centuries have studied, meditated, prayed and sung the Psalms declaring “the greatness of the living God as Creator, Sustainer, King, Lawmaker, Savior, Father, Shepherd, and Judge.” (John R.W. Stott)
